Dear list,

I was pointed to a device, which is able to play audio-files of up to 16 channels without the need of a computer as a stand-alone device. It is basically a SD-card player and I wonder, if this might be interesting for some on this list. The price is about 200,- Euro, which makes it really affordable. The file has to be written onto the SD-card by the use of a computer and a usual card-reader/writer, though.

I even talked to the person developing it and he said, that higher sample rates for multichannel might be featured in one of its next software-updates, as this would be no technical problem to provide this.

I am quite curious what people on the list might think about this device and if there are even experiences or test results about it.
