What precisely are you doing with the mic? There are 32 capsules in the array, so it sounds like you're working with A-format, instead of an already-processed B-format. If so, there's all kinds of hell to pay before you've gotten half as far as the 3rd order output I believe EigenMike's software could give you.
If I'm wrong, check an recheck your channel order. At even 16 channels it's pretty easy to overlook a switched pair of wires here or there, and especially a stray negation or programmatic option in whatever software you're using. Such easy mistakes can easily cause the kind of problem you're describing, and are by far the easiest to detect and rectify.
