I used Telecom C4 a couple of times but much preferred the sound of Dolby

As this thread started from a binaural thread, my 5 cents worth:

We tested Dolby A and Telcom C4 with binaural recordings at Finnish
broadcasting long ago.

We found out that the binaural sound image was at its best without any
noise reduction, even though there was some tape hiss from the studio tape.

Dolby A caused more localization blur than Telcom. The only explanation
that we could think of, was that the spectral bands had different division
frequencies in Dolby A and Telcom. For most of us listeners the bandsplits
were at more critical frequencies with Dolby than Telcom.

Otherwise in my opinion as companders you should compare Telcom C4 with
Dolby SR.
