Well, it's an interesting system, if only in terms of two-way Bluetooth communication. Of course the marketing is so much hype, plus it pretty much ignores years of history, and the video demos are pretty basic binaural recordings that demonstrate more than anything that the system suffers from not having any form of wind protection. What intrigues me more is the endorsement by, and involvement of, Abe Jacob, who is indeed a highly respected theatre sound designer and a long-term colleague and friend. I've dropped him a line to try and get some inside knowledge and I've also dropped $100 on a set, just out of interest. If they're rubbish, I should be able to offload them onto a gullible youth at a small profit, once I've attached a fake 'beats' label.
