Hi,

First off, I didn’t have the opportunity to test neither the NT-SF1 nor the
ZM-1.

But, I would point that the NT-SF1, like other 1st order mics, can benefit from
spatial resolution upmixing/upsampling using plug-ins like Harpex or the NT-SF1
own « SoundField by RØDE ». According to this page
http://research.spa.aalto.fi/projects/sparta_vsts/plugins.html, there should be
an eventual upmixing plug-in in the SPARTA suite.

So, if one is really enamoured by the timbral qualities of a particular 1st
order mic, but needs the added spatial resolution, there’s a solution for that.

Cheers,

Daniel
