I just joined the group, but I wanted also to leave my thinking about Facebook. I mainly use the site for events and groups and don't want to miss on a lot of suggestions and ideas I got from group members in the past. But you have to start somewhere, and that it would be better to leave Facebook should be obvious right now.

Does someone know any replacement, especially for Facebook groups?
Preferably in an open source format, where it would be nice to get all the groups moving to in the long term. Maybe a post with a hint to a new page could get things started and so slowly reducing the need for being on Facebook.

I still haven’t had much luck finding it

Truth be told, since FB deleted my previous account, I've been experiencing difficulty as well.

I think it's this one https://www.facebook.com/groups/355566654536126 . Or hope. :/
