Dear Sursound list members, We are looking for some software to conduct subjective hearing in noise test (HINT). In order to assess speech intelligibility in different types of noise, we hope to estimate the speech recognition threshold (SRT) (SNR for 50 % intelligibility in dB). The common practice is to fix the noise level and adaptively adjusting the level of speech until the SRT is reached. The HINT software developed in [1] will be useful, but requires many modifications to be used in our experiments. If there are any other software/codes for estimating the SRT, that can be easily modified depending on the task, it would be great to know as well and your generous sharing would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance for all comments! Regards Jianjun Gu, PhD University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. [1]Nilsson M, Soli SD, Sullivan JA.
