Hi there!

This is a difficult question to answer and easy, too.l

It's the same old story in audio engineering, if you ask 7 people you'll
get at least 9 opinions.

From my experience I would choose https://plugins.iem.at
These plugins are running very well with reaper, the offer a lot of helpful
features and you will hardly experience any limit

Yes there also is SPARTAhttps://leomccormack.github.io/sparta-site/;
also very nifty tools with a great documentation and also very great.

Both suites are open source and for free; as in free beer.

Of course there also is the classic ATK
https://www.ambisonictoolkit.net/documentation/reaper/
... but I have no experiences with that, so I can't tell.

I hope this helps you further and you will get great sounds out of your
recordings.

Cheers
Thorsten

It's been a couple of years since I last recorded in Ambisonic. I see that,
since then, most of the Ambisonic plugins have been updated. I have a new
recording of a choral workshop made on a ZOOM H3-VR and am wondering what is
now considered the best (easiest? most flexible?) plugin for Reaper to
render these Ambix recordings to binaural and stereo? I the past I have used
David McGriffy's VVEncode/VVDecode for rendering (from a different recorder
and Ambisonic mic) and also the Harpex stand-alone player for viewing the
sound sources and listening to raw FuMa files. Should I stick with what I
know or should I try the new decoders from Dave Malham or Matthias
Kronlachner? So many to try, so little time.
