Hey everyone, My student Noah Deetz is performing a metastudy on variation in acoustic absorption databases. The goal of the study is to aggregate the absorption measurements of different surfaces to analyze variances between measurement methods, and to report on the aggregate measurement error’s effect on GA computer modeling. We are hoping that the database can be scaled and more materials can be included to help inform acousticians about the statistical properties behind publicly available measurements. We are trying to include everything publicly available online, but if anyone has additional acoustic absorption measurements for - Concrete - Stone/Marble - Wood - Brick - Plaster or other relatively common acoustic materials, please send references to [email protected] with the subject heading “Acoustic Absorption Metastudy”.
