IMMO, depending on the market trend, yes, but converted to binaural, or limited versions for soundbars with those capabilities. I believe that ambisonic will be (and already is in some systems, f.e. Mpeg-H), the transport and storage system, and modern systems will receive it and adapt it to their capabilities
In reality, the ambisonic system is a mix-agnostic system; it is not tied to a specific speaker configuration, making it perfect for a variable delivery system (from mono to n+1).
