Well, first, the DR-DOS multi-tasker can also Multi-task and not just
function as a task-switcher. This means you can get all the programs
to run at the same time and in the background.
Now to your problem, this problem is well known. It seems like TaskMgr
cant re-direct the video very well when a certain task is in the
background. Caldera is working on it. For now the best work-around
is to refresh the picture once you return. If its Arachne, for
example, F9 will fix it. If its a program like NeoPaint which do not
have a refresh option, you should shell to DOS before
changing a task and then exit back to NeoPaint when you go back to the
NeoPaint task. Going to DOS and back will refresh NeoPaint and other
graphical programs which do not have a built-in refresh option.
Bit bulky but working. Etleast ASCII/ANSI based programs dont have
this problem.
