Hmm I suspect some level of misunderstanding interfering here. I think
Patty refers to the PS/1 menu window (a quadrant screen with
icons etc, peculiar for the PS/1)? If so - this could also explain
some of the problems experienced(?), say if any *not enough memory*
errors when SHELLING to DOS etc (?), or like say if receiving advice
to do this and that based on the assumption this is a plain DOS/WIN 3.x
system(?)
I'm only guessing. I'm no expert on the PS/1, seen one - that's
all. But I have a gut feeling I am on to something here.... What do
you say Patty? Like what do you see when you power on your PS/1?
Maybe someone here, with access to the www and who understands what to
look for, could do a search for www pages with info on the PS/1 setup -
like how to remove the shell and turn it a plain DOS/Win 3.x machine?
(assuming I'm on to something of course)
