Yes..... unless it already has a non MFM hard drive. <g>
IDE controllers and MFM controllers are completely
different, but just like you can use 2 drives on an IDE
controller, you can also use 2 drives on an MFM
controller. Note too that the MFM (and RLLs) have two
cables for each drive.
In theory (just to confuse you) it should be possible to
mix them by using two cards, but you probably have to
start doing things like changing the hard wired address on
the card. I've heard of it being done, but you probably
don't want to touch that can of worms. Also, I was just
thinking, you could probably use it with a HardCard. ....
just a minute, I'll check that one out right away .......

( rummage, rummage, rattle, whirrr .......)
     ( beep )
     ( Error in setup )
     ( SYSTEM HALTED )

Hmmm, off hand, I'd say no. This was on a 386 board which,
of course, has a BIOS, and it complained. It didn't
produce any smoke though. This machine runs an MFM drive,
so there is no entry in the BIOS for any hard drive. Maby
that is why it didn't work. Perhaps with a little
fiddeling, but that's as far as I'm going to go for now.

Cheers,
       Ole Juul
