Intel used the OPL3-SAx chipset on one of their Pentium motherboards. (Don't
remember which one off the top of my head.) I've downloaded drivers for the
chip from Intel's site. Intel kept the real DOS drivers in with the Win3.11
stuff -- Yamaha may or may not do it the same way. I recall having to
download
both the Win95 *and* the Win3.11 archives to get everything working the way I
wanted under Windows 95. ("Boot directly to DOS? Is that possible?")

One odd side effect of the DOS setup utility was that it forced the contents
of AUTOEXEC.BAT to ALL UPPERCASE LETTERS, which irritated the heck out of me.
The workaround was to call the setup program from another batch file, not in
the root directory, which in turn was called by AUTOEXEC.BAT.
