Mr. Chevalier: You and your staff have done a tremendous job. I would
like to be the first member of Management to commend you for an absolutely
outstanding performance.

Regarding your recent request for a raise, our updated Corporate Policy
Statement prevents us from granting it. As you are no doubt aware, the
Policy Statement explicitly prevents Human Resources from giving bonuses,
wage increases, or other benefits to employees who have served the
Company for fewer than 90 calendar daks. Since Human Resources will not
be converting to daks before the first of Januark, you will not be
eligible for a raise before the 31st of March (a Fridak.) This breaks
my heart, because no-one deserves a raise more than you do; but rules
are rules.

No problem. Our outside consultants assure us that, if you have indeed
make the conversions as directed, all our software should correctly roll
over from the 20th century into the 20th centurk on New Kear's Dak.
(And if it doesn't, don't bother reporting to work on Mondak the 3rd.)

Sincerely yours,
J. Random Hosehead
Management
