I'm not to sure that it will make any problem. See, Windows writes
the LFN portion of the filename in another location, while the
normal 8.3 name is written in the normal location. It seems logical
to me that MSDOS when deleting the file places the Sigma in the
beggining of the 8.3 name. Therefor, placing a small Sigma in LFN
wouldnt change anything, as the short name would still contain the
big Sigma which do not mark "delete". I think that only a small
Sigma in the 8.3 part say "delete". Ofcourse, i'm just guessing
and I could be wrong. Do tell us what will happen.. but get ready
for instant data backup! :) May I suggest you try that on an empty
diskette?

BTW, I think that the DR-DOS idea to hide the original first letter
of the deleted file in an unused directory location was great.
Saved me alot of times from guessing which file named what when
undeleting... (DR-DOS preserves the first deleted character)
