Wow, that's fantastic news. Here it comes folks. Once the gem
environment is released into the public domain, I'm sure lots of folks
will jump on it. That would mean lots of apps, plenty of
improvements/changes, and probably a whole new user community for a
package that was doing practically nothing before. Given proper marketing
(hmm, is it possible to market freeware?) this could become the largest
breakthrough for microsoft competition since linux.
