Ah, the Kaypro II! Bought one of those myself, in 1987 for $50 at a yard
sale. Used it exclusively for a few years. It crunched my words and
counted my beans, so I was satisfied.
The software for that machine I liked best was KAMAS (Knowledge and Mind
Amplification System). The nearest equivalent is an outline processor,
and KAMAS did what it promised, enabling me to organize thoughts and
information into a concise, logical, and malleable form. If I still had
that computer, I'd still be using KAMAS.
