Grrr! 4 DNS servers aren't working properly! Hey all. Something funny is happening with my DNS servers. I have two ISPs and they both are having similar problems! :( Dialling in with Arachne, it gets stuck on 'Asking nameserver for whatever.wot', and the same with my mail servers. But Nettamer is working. When I dial up USQ, it can see news.usq.edu.au, but not mail.connect.usq.edu.au, so I can't get mail from there. When I dial up hotkey with Nt, it works alright [for Nettamer]. I can get the Arachne Home Page, but following links doesn't work as expected. I think this is Nt's fault though, As the only version I had available was 1.09.2. I've already wasted about $5 doing all this, as I kept switching back and forward between these two programs, two modems, two computers, two ISPs. [25c/call] This is on a computer I've borrowed for a few days, but going back to my old computer has the same problems! There was problems with one modem dialling and handshaking at my friend's house, but those problems aren't here at all: Even managed to connect with W95. Last night I tried putting various IP's in, for Catfish's computer. It can get his page, very slow, but trying to telnet to it just doesn't work. Everything is set up; I've done this many times before. The USQ is a university, so they have DNS servers the same always. It's also working with Linux, and I just imported the nettamer file into Netscape and sending it now. I'm beginning to love linux!
