I have another problem. I have long thought about replacing my 80C88-2
in my Atari Portfolio handheld with a V20. But nobody sells V20s any
more... Anybody has one in PLCC package? It's a pity because that
machine really could have a speed improvement besides overclocking. BTW
people have overclocked it by up to 140%, from 4.95 MHz to 12 MHz. This
is the most extreme overclocking I've ever heard of.

Talking about V20 extended instructions, users of Turbo Pascal in later
versions might know the "286 instructions" compiler switch telling the
compiler to use them in the code to make it faster and thighter. These
programs can be run on V20s and V30s because Turbo Pascal only uses a
subset of 286 instructions which are all supported by Vxx processors.

Bye Gunnar
