Hi
I have an IBM 286, it looks like a newer version of the model 30. What I
am trying to find out about is the conecter for the hard drive on the mother
board. I can plug in an 20 mb drive from an other IBM 286 computer and it
boots and recognises the drive OK.
I want to put a larger drive in there, there is one a 3.5 inch bay
available for another drive. Does any one know what kind of conecter this
is on the mother board?
The ide drives I have come across have 40 pins, if I counted the pins rite
on the IBM mother board, it has 44 pins.

  Pete
