On Sunday, Charles Dye <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> typed:

I was trying (unsucessfully :'-() to install Linux on a (Japanese)
laptop last week and we had to defrag the harddrive. The Windows [98]
defrag was still 10% after half and hour So I said Stuff This and
went looking for a DOS one. I was surprised when I didn't find one.
But then I found that Norton Utilities was installed and their Speed
Disk was a LOT faster. Only took another 20 minutes for that 4GB hdd.
BTW That Toshiba P][ 333 96MB RAM was so FAST! Even loading W98 was
at least twice as fast as my friend's brother's Celery 333 W98.
Loading W95 on Cyrix PR166 was about the same though. ;-) Loading
DOS on my 386 faster still.
