>Swedish computer specialist Ulf Lingrde who has written a >substantial manual on all varieties of DOS, called "Stora Guiden om >DOS", reports that ScanDisk, which comes in DOS-versions from 6.20 >and up, has a very serious error in version 6.20, which can lead to >completely trashed hds. I think that the book you mention was the one I used in school a few years back (not that *I* needed it, but almost all of my classmates did). Anyway, if that's the book and I think it is, it had all the errorlevels that programs returned listed after them (up to M$-DOS 6.xx) Can someone tell me where I can get this info from the net? I might be able to get a book from my old school for some small amount (or even free) since they don't use DOS anymore except in the computer labs (5 computers) but I would prefer a file (or files) since that's easier and probably alot faster. BTW: Win 95, Win NT (including user PCs), Linux (also including user PCs), Novell and Mac (staff only, perhaps also for "Media"-classes) is there choice for now. //Bernie To unsubscribe from SURVPC send a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with unsubscribe SURVPC in the body of the message.
