CORIOLIS LAUNCHES NEW IMPRINT ON
OPEN SOURCE TECHNOLOGIES
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The Coriolis Group has announced the formation of a
new imprint to focus on leading Open Source
technologies. Coriolis OpenPress is dedicated to serving
the needs of the Open Source community and embraces
the creativity and "openness" of the rapidly growing
Open Source movement.

OpenPress launches in mid-1999 and will feature
innovative books with unique editorial approaches and
distinctive packaging. Initial OpenPress titles feature
the leading Open Source products and technologies,
including Linux, Apache, Samba, GNOME, GIMP, and
Open Source software development techniques.

"We believe that 1999 is going to be the Year of Open
Source," said Jeff Duntemann, co-founder and vice
president of The Coriolis Group. "I haven't seen anything
like the Open Source movement since the first days of
Internet publishing. Tens of thousands of programmers
have created superb products, each with a psychological
stake in their success.
