Hi All, I just acquired a Compaq Deskpro 66M with no docs. It is in working condition. The hard drive had been wiped, but I've restored the system partition with files from the Compaq web site. My question is on the hardware, how hard is it to add an ide CD-rom drive? The info I found via Dejanews seemed contradictory, from no problem to adding a new eide controller. Also there is a microphone connection and a mini-din connector marked with a music note symbol, does this machine have built in sound capability? The board with all the connectors is hidden under the power supply and doesn't look easy to get at. Has anyone dealt with Compaq tech support lately? Are they charging for tech support on out of warranty items? Any good info out on the web on compaq hardware?
