I'm currently running Linux on a 386sx25 and there is no problem
with speed. It does have 8 meg though. Also, I'm only using
console applications -- no X windows.

These wouldn't work too well with only 4 meg. Can you upgrade
to 8 meg -- it would make a big difference.
