False alarm! I tried that number weeks ago, and it is no longer in
service. Even the area code is no longer in service! I haven't even
bothered writing to the Post Office box for this reason: if he doesn't
have a valid phone number listed anywhere, then he's not in the software
business under any other postal address, either.
If he's alive or not in jail, then he must have an unlisted/unpublished
address/phone number that is not publicly available. Maybe he no longer
lives in America.
If anyone's willing to try sending a letter to that old post office box
address, they're sure willing to try. I wouldn't advise sending money to
it, though.
Has anyone tried Borras's old Fidonet address? I'd be surprised if
anything turns up with that.
Does anyone here have a CompuServe account? Would you like to do a search
there on whatever information they might have on J. Anthony Borras or his
software (VMiX 386)? Ask around in some of the forums... you might find
something out that way, since he once had a CompuServe address, and it was
possible to register VMiX 386 through CompuServe.
