I may be wrong here, but I seem to recall the Commodore monitors could use a
composite video input (it'll have an RCA jack on the back) and made a pretty
good video-only monitor for VCRs and such. If you've got a VCR that will do
it, route the audio to a stereo receiver and the video the the monitor.

For use on a PC system, you'd probably be looking for a CGA card with
composite out for the video.

Apologies if I've got the wrong monitor in mind!
