Not really.
The comment is simply incorrect.

I don't suppose there are many (any?) analogue computers in serious
use nowadays; they will all have been replaced by digital ones.

Granted, they used to take up a *lot* more room than a modern digital
machine, but even then, only a small/medium sized room. If the Whiteman
AFB has a *large* buliding to house their simulators it's not because
the computers are so big.  :)
