Hi John and JP,
My husband is an electrician who recently did a lot of contract
work at Whiteman Air Force Base. New control tower, flight
simulator, hangers for the B-2, a real long-term major upgrade.
I had him read the acronym posts and he loved them of course, and
the has an acronym story of his own. It seems (I don't know why)
that most of the crew either was ex-Army or had no military
experience at all. I guess the acronyms were quite a problem
because the Air Force's acronyms were mostly unknown to the
ex-Army electricians and of course the people with no military
experience were completely at a loss. So anyway, for safety sake
they asked for a translation table, and the Air Force acutally
gave them one.
