Yes we can. It can be used as an answering machine. I had a program that
said it could handle that. It was called Answer, if I'm not mistaken, but I
could never use it because I never had any voice modem. If you want, I can
try to dig it up for you. I think that is located in my 200 MB of Zipped dos
apps.

Hmm, tried it, no luck. But if I hold my second hard drive to my hear, or
even from some distance, I can hear the D:. Those who have an LPS-420A from
Quantum will probably know what I mean. Man, this is one of the most noisy
hard drives I've met! Oh yes, I'm only talking about !"recent" (6 to 7 years
old) HDs, and only IDE's ones. The SCSI in my workplace is noisier (does
that term exist in English?) than two or three LPS-420As altogether.
