I would appreciate any suggestions with this problem. Two floppy
drives (1.44 & 1.2 meg) do not read or boot from bootable floppies
while attached to a 486 system. The drives are accessed (lights come
appropriately, Dir A: or Dir B:) but the data is not read and I get
the message Abort,Retry,Fail?
However both the drives work fine when moved to another system (a
386).The multi I/O card and the ribbon cable are also defect-free.
What can I do to get them to work in that 486 system. BTW a couple
of 360k drives also gave the same response !
