      First ,let me thank you for bringing the OERI collection and
its potential demise to the SURVPC list. My letter to the webmaster
(bcced to yo & SURVPC) is my response to your suggestion that we do
something to save the collection.

Our club is just initiating this project. We are currently
contacting our local politicians for support as "Year of The
Seniors" project. This being the summer, here in the prairies most
people tend to be out and about, so things are a bit slow at this
time of the year. However the project will be in full swing by fall.
The software is only one part of this. We intend to collect
additional  hardware as well.

The idea has been approved by the executive. Now its mainly amatter
of additional space and some funding. I would welcome your
suggestions.
