AFAIR it was partly hacked and partly selfinvented: the german
programmer didn't get any reply from Geoworks and he had to rewrite
significal parts of the system. GEOS for +4 doesn't work with the
Commodore 1541 drive, it works only with 1551 which is about five times
faster. Unfortunately, in order to work with GEOS really fluently, you
_must_ have two 1551 drives. I made my first teleprocessing and Internet
experiences whith this machine and still use it occassionally for
homebanking.
