}- Filch a copy of EDLIN from MS-DOS or Win95's OldMSDOS
}- directory, then find out the command to strip out all C:s from
}- the file and exit.  You may have a problem putting a ^Z in the
}- file though (ISTR it would need one).

I'm sure I've got a copy of MS-DOS 6.22 around here somewhere...
I will try this and your other advice.  Yes, OpenDOS does have
XDEL and will do @filelist - but it want's a plain filelist, no
c:'s.  I'll give EDLIN a try though.
