Same here. I recently found my DESQview/X development disks were
fungus city. All three disk are unreadable. Leaky roof and all that.

Ah, didn't think of that. Shows how much I use word processors. :-)

This worked just fine. My prompt is designed to show the current dir,
date and time on the top screen.
It correctly showed Jan 01, 2000 (BTW, 4DOS is my command processor
which itself is Y2K compliant).
When I set the SmartWatch to write the current date to itself it
showed "Sat 01-Jan-19A0".
When I saw that I thought oh man, this isn't gonna work. Rebooted
and, as normal, SmartWatch reads the time from the chip and sets the
DOS date/time. Still Jan 01, 2000. Cool.
I also did a couple of file date tests to see if a file with a 01-01-00
date would come before or after a 1999 in a dir-by-date sort.
That worked out as the 00 files came after the 99.
I figure since the DOS world starts at 1980 any numbers after 99 (00, 01)
will be considered greater. Maybe.

Heh, that's what my friend says, too. He's a fellow Tandy 1000 HX owner
and has done these before. Even old DeskMate is apparently compliant.
