I have a 386 which I have swapped a new drive into.
I have to set the bios for the new drive.
When I press f2 as it directs (To enter setup, Strike f2 key)
the screen goes blank and nothing more happens.
It will boot to a bootable floppy (drive is empty) if one is in the drive.
The Bios worked when I initially got the machine, before I wiped the old
drive.
I can't see that it would be drive dependant, that'd be stupid.
What can I try to fix it?
I also mucked about in there, looking to see what RAM SIMMS it takes and
changing the drives.
I am quite certain cables have been replaced properly as I double checked
before plugging them in.
Could the battery have gone kerplui? Then why would it still boot and tell
the linux boot disk a hd size (install complains of too little disk space)
So the Bios appears to still be doing, but I can't seem to get it to display.
Datatrain DPC 3017 386SX 8MB extended memory 3.5 and 5.25 drives a and b
no peripherals, keyboard, mouse, vga monitor.
