Edition" you should read.

It details programmers' tricks in "wrapping" memory barber-pole-like to
create a more
fluid and contiguous stream of accessibility. Actually bringing the computer
to within
microns of a crash in order to clear registers and pile waiting data through
page frames in an effort to speed the transfer of data.
