I thought that mscdex took care of things. It is part of
MS-DOS so wouldn't it work on an XT like the rest of the
OS? Plug in an 8 bit CD controller card with the right
interface for your CD drive and away you go. I haven't
tried it myself but I would have thought that it would
work.
