Hmm, I use an old Logitech trackball and it works with all
the regular drivers like ctmouse, mscmouse, logitech,
HGXmouse, and many more. This one is a ps2 type, but I was
using a serial version of the same model for a couple of
years before this.
I once observed someone installing win95 and it was not
able to detect rather standard hardware properly. The
solution was simply to put in the comports and irqs by
hand. I suspect that win98 would work much the same.
