My desktop reboots at the moment with regular intervals.
For the moment at two or three minutes intervals. Reason why I do not write
this email on that machine. I had just time to look into my addressbook for
the Survpc list before it rebooted again.
Does somebody knows exacyly
what causes this sh.... effect? (shutdown effect :-))
Voltage approx. 190/195 Volt against 220/240 normal.
I disconnected the UPS yesterday because that machine was acting strange. It
beeped every five or so minutes and indicated that the electricity supply
was down for seconds. The shutdown of my desktop occured than also but not
that regular. The UPS only raised the voltage with about 10 volts unto 205.
Television and a XT on the same power supply act normal (as far as I can
see)
Now I have connected the UPS again and with 205 volts there have been no
shutdowns for some time even as the volt meter reads 195/196 volt.
I believe that the low voltage shut down the power supply of the computer
but thought that a UPS should help preventing such occurences.
