I found the external FTP client with Arachne isn't all that good. I
was trying to upload some pages to my own webpage (on virtualave) and
it just wouldn't do it. One way I ended up doing was loading windows
and using WS_FTP. From DOS, I once telnetted into a friend's linux
box, used alt-T to use FTP from his computer back to mine, and
tranfered files there (CUTE has a built-in FTP server). Then I ftp'd
to virtualave to upload the files to the internet.
So, do you reccommend any other FTP client I can use with the same
connection as Arachne? (ie *not* nettamer)
Everything I do on the internet either revolves around Arachne or
Trumpet winsock. Hey, someone once managed to get Trumpet to see
Arachne's connection and use that as a packet driver. I was
unsuccessful. [I really like mIRC but dont like redialling]
BTW: Thanks for uploading it. I'm giving it to my sister for use on
her T3200SX lugable laptop: 386SX, 1MB RAM, no harddrive: only one
1.44 floppy drive. :) It appears you have uploaded the Registered
Version! Oh well, the registration price was $2; it would cost more
to change that to US$ and a money order.
