The Sporster should be set up just fine by using the
factory settings (&F1 etc). I suspect that you look
elsewhere for the problem. Probably you are not using a
fast enough speed on the computer side. You should have
your software set to 115200 or at least 56000. If that
doesn't do the trick it could be that your connection does
not support that speed. Phone lines are sometimes not that
good. <g>
