informative comments.
Since asking, I have discovered another reason of my own....
My desired application involves leased-line mode. Now on all
modems that I have seen you set leased line mode with a bunch of
AT commands. But to GET OUT of leased line mode - toggle DTR.
Well, now I've gotta figure out the exact bus address of my DTR
line and see if I can toggle it with a little program. Otherwise
I'll get the thing stuck in leased line mode until I can do so.
I don't think it will be a big deal - but if it was an external, I
would just have done it right at the pin.
You've convinced me. Gotta dig up the dough. But you've
convinced me.
