I would ask that question in the usenet group comp.sys.ibm.ps2.hardware.
The Value Point series isn't a PS/2, but those guys should be able to tell
you.

Personally, I would guess that the Valuepoint needs IBM memory, like a PS/2,
but am not 100% sure on that.
