If you're using PKZIP (DOS), to create a big
spanned archive (called, say, bigspan) try
pkzip -& A:BIGSPAN *.*
which does all files in current directory, or
pkzip -rp& A:BIGSPAN *.*
which does all files in current directory and
all its subdirectories.

(and you really should download version 2.5
for DOS, which handles long file names and
includes PKZFIND, a nifty command line file
finder, which also searches ZIPs)
