A but if you write 4.2G B then it would be correct (4.3G is actually more
correct if you ask me).
G means 1000^3 (in the scientific standard anyway) and GB means 1024^3 (or
2^30) bytes.

But this missconception is just like when you (here atleast) say 1 kilo and
actually mean 1 kilograms.

Besides 64KB comes from 256^2 (or 2^16) if you ask me, just as 16MB comes
from 256^3 (so the next graphics standard will be 256^4 then <G>)
