Heimo,
Many thanks for mentioning the site on the list!

http://www.empowermentzone.com/

Even thought it's homepage is rather big (195,125 Bytes),
it's indeed a very informative site. Not all DOS browser
gets choked; I managed to download it nicely with Arachne
on a 286 with only 3MB RAM.

Empowermentzone even have some ZIPped eBooks, which
previously only available as separate online HTML pages
from www.mcp.com. Best of all, now you no longer need
to be online for long time with cookies capable browser
to read these books. You could just downloaded the ZIP
files -- even with www to mail gateways -- and then read
the books offline. Very helpful when you have to paid
by minutes for your internet connection :)

It also contains an extensive knowledgebase, which every
SurvPC'ers would need. No matter when you're a hobbyist,
a "die hard" user, or even a dedicated surplus hardware
recycler.

Excellent work, Jamal; also all aplause to him, please!
