Howdy all,
Maybe someone on the list can help me with this request.
One of the possibilities Im investigating as a suitable GUI for teaching
basic computer skills (and, yes, Win9x UI concepts) to at-risk kids in Rio,
is Datalights Winlight (www.datalight.com). Its a light implementation of
a Win 31 subset which runs on 386s and up, and the wonderful folk at
Datalight donated us a SDK and in-house licenses for our NGO.
What I need now is C source code for simple 16 bit Windows apps (a notepad,
paint, maybe simple spreedsheets or databases, etc). Ive got development
tools (Borland C / C++) and am sure that we could get some of these
translated into Portuguese and running on Winlight.
However, my searches on the web for Win 3.1 application source code have
turned up absolutely nothing. Even places like the CUG seem to have very
little 16 bit Windows code.
Now Im sure that there must be heaps out there somewhere. Surely a
generation of C programmers turned out simple, sample apps while learning to
program for Win 3.1 a few years ago. Some of this source must still be
around somewhere, and Im sure could be released GPLd or freeware for a use
such as ours.
Does anybody have any suggestions?
Thanks,
Paul
