Sorry to but in, chaps, but - yes, I remember trying to get
somewhere with VMiX - all to no avail. I've tried several programmes
that claim to do the task-switching, but only two ever seemed to come
close to working. These were QUIKSWAP and SWITCHER, both obtained from
the PDSL here in England some two years or so ago. They NEARLY do
everything that I want, but one programme that I have to run often for
laying out PCB artwork seems to block the hot-key required to switch
tasks. Since (in answer to Jerry's question about what we use these PCs
for) I like to be able to switch between a PCB layout and a circuit
diagram on-screen, it would have been ideal to have this facility.

A later version of the PCB package DOES allow the hot-key through,
but I daren't use it. Both versions have a dongle (all properly bought
and paid for, I should add) but the later version's dongle is
unreliable and I worry about losing my work if it should give up on me.
The earlier version's dongle isn't much better, but it's only a simple
serial EEPROM, which I could fix if I had to.

If anyone wants QUIKSWAP or SWITCHER to try, let me know! If anyone
knows about dongles on PCB packages, please let me know that, too!!!

   All the best,

      Ron.
